TITLE: "Vacation Neon"

A weathered neon sign, with faded sixties-era colors, still advertises for an abandoned motel in Butte, Montana. I love these old neon signs, and the bright technicolors that catch they eye. I love to take roadtrips, and these old signs create a sense of nostalgia for me as I travel. These neon signs of the mid century often were hand-painted and hand-crafted by neon artisans who created their designs from scratch for each of these small mom-and-pop roadside stops.

About the Photographer:

Annie travels for her photography full-time, photographing wildlife, landscapes, and rural scenes. She grew up on her family's ranch in Montana, and currently works out of her studio in Billings, Montana. Her work has been featured in television shows, books, and in magazines such as Better Homes & Gardens. She has worked with Crate & Barrel, Target, and several large-scale projects across the United States. While she loves to travel, her true love is being in wide open spaces or out in nature.
